LANDED PRICE. Classic styling but a thoroughly modern boat. The sheerline and tumblehome and wooden coachroof are from an earlier era; performance and handling are pure 21st Century. The Espresso 40 is a 12.2 metre hull with 3.9m beam, built of balsa-cored ‘glass with a loaded displacement of 5200kg. The superstructure sides are in varnished teak, as is the wood detailing in the cockpit. Power is by 285hp Volvo Penta, but other options are available on request. A 55kg thrust (4hp) bow thruster is standard. Cruise speed with the standard engine is 23 knots; the 440hp Yanmar will give 26+ knots top speed; twin 315 Yanmars also available. The accommodation features two double cabins – the bow cabin has twin vee berth with an infill converts to a double (Option: island berth at no extra cost). A transverse double cabin is set aft of the saloon. Interior trim is in varnished cherry, the cabin sole is in the classic varnished teak and holly. The dinette table is in an elevated position in the wheel-house.
