The Careening Cove team includes skilled trades people with years of proven industry experience. We can handle everything from insurance work and minor repairs through to major refurbishments. We earned a quite name for ourselves in the care of timber boats. Our qualified shipwright has extensive track record in dry rot and timber repairs. When it comes to joinery and refitting, you can count on the impeccable craftsmanship of our qualified cabinet-maker for interior fitments and teak decks.

The start of a great finish

For a gleaming paint coat, our qualified spray painter is a specialist in 2-pack polyurethane applications, as well as enamelling and varnish work. Our coatings services cover hull cleaning and antifouling removal, fibreglass repairs all the way to applying new antifouling and top coats. What about a new cover, clears, a bimini or a canopy? Let us restore the finish that Mother Nature has taken away. To preserve that immaculate finish and impress friends or corporate guests, let us handle the detailing.

NEW PRODUCT: Tek Dek

TekDek
Durable teak substitute

Tek Dek is a PVC deck and cabin surfacing which is non-skid, looks like teak but costs around 35% less. The PVC sheeting can accommodate any shape because it is cut, shaped and worked in the same way as teak.

It fades only marginally in sunlight, is not coated with a surface finish and it can be sanded if necessary.

Tek Dek’s underside is grooved with a dovetail-sectioned channel to maximise the bond with the adhesive and the boat’s deck.
